Pacific Gaming Clan's Website, Recruitment and Clan Rules

Pacific Gaming Clan Website Rules |
|
|
These forums and this website are here for your information and enjoyment and also contains information for people interested in joining Pacific Gaming, it in many ways is the face of Pacific Gaming so all posts are to be made friendly and nicely orientated, this is including but not limited to the shoutbox and forums as well as guestbook and any comment areas, if you have a problem with a post made then please see the appropriate person to have the post removed. People not obeying these rules will be dealt with harshly and repeat offenders will be removed from this clan. No exceptions.
When someone applys to join and you don't like their post or they have done something wrong then you simply need to ignore this as a team captain will ask them to clarify the situation, slaging non-members and prospective new members is not accepted and will give our clan a bad name if you would like to make a comment about a person requesting to join then this should be done by sending a private message to a team captain or the clan general.

Pacific Gaming Clan General Rules |
|
General Rules
You should always be polite to all other members of Pacific Gaming. this includes being helpful to them if they ask you a question. You should not abuse them if they do something wrong, abuse towards another player of Pacific Gaming will not be tolerated at any time.
When in public servers if you are wearing your 'paciF~' tag's then you need to be polite and obey any rules set out by the server admins or players in the server.
If you have a problem with another team member or a member of another team within Pacific Gaming then you need to go and see your team captain, if the matter can't be resolved then you need to see the clan General. Pacific Gaming has set an age limit of 16 to be a member of this clan, this age limit is set for reasons of maturity, immature players will be asked to leave regardless of age. You will notice that several members in this clan are under the age of 18 this is allowed only if:
(a) The person joined the clan before the age limit was raised to 18 or
(b) The person has joined given that there is an adult from their family already in this clan which is allowed as the person under 18 has a guardian to be responsible for them and their actions, please remember though the person over 18 which can be a brother parent or cousin etc... is solely responsible for them so if the person under 18 does something kickable then the guardian will also be removed for not controlling them..... also if the person who is caring for someone under 18 leaves then the person under the age limit must also leave the clan.
Clan Server(s)
The clan servers are here for everyone to use, it is based on a first in basis so if you come into the server and other Pacific Gaming players are playing a specific gametype and you want to play another, then you should leave and join another server. If you would like to have something enabled then you need to see one of the server admins (Veriton, Walrus, TipRat). The server may change gametype at any time for scrims so it is advised to be in TeamSpeak whilst ever you are playing in the clan server so you can be informed of any changes about to be done in regards to the clan servers. Whilst in the clan server you MUST wear your Pacific Gaming war tags. Anyone using the Pacific Gaming clan servers should be polite at all times and keep global talk to a minimum, we have TeamSpeak people so use it.
If someone is not obiding by Pacific Gaming's rules and procedures or code of conduct the you should record evidence of what is happening by either recording a demo or by taking screenshots along with a pb guidkey picture should be taken to prove that the player being offensive is who they say they are.
Call of Duty ONLY:
To do this simply bring down console by pressing 'shift' and the ~ key then type /pb_plist to display the guid keys then write /screenshotjpeg to take a screenshot and then close console. A screenshot of messages typed can also be obtained by bringing down console then typing /screenshotjpeg or recording a demo is done by typing /record name in the console. You can stop recording by either exiting the game or by entering /stoprecord into console.
Wars and Zwar
Okay in the past there has been alot of issues dealing with people not posting in Zwar. This had to be addressed as it frustrates the Team Captains greatly when they see they have 15 or so members and only 3 people posting that they can play.
Whilst you are in this clan you are to check the Clan Wars frequently at least every second day, but preferably daily and post weather you can or cannot play in all wars that apply to the teams in which you are in. Failure to do this will result in you being placed as a Social member and removed from the team you are in.
As a standing rule, you are given 3 chances to participate, if you do not post in 3 wars in a row then the Team Captain has the right to remove you from his team and inform the Clan Admins that you are now a social member. Once this is done you will no longer be allowed to play in wars for that Team as you wont be in the teams roster, nor will you be allowed to play in competitively or organised freeplay scrims. If this has happened to you then you must ask the Captain to add you back in and post in wars. If this continues to happen you will not be allowed back into that team. If you have a reason for not posting then simply let your Captain know and they will place you as inactive but leave you in the team roster for the period of time you specified.
Please remember that these rules are here for the benefit of all the clan, this rule is not here to try and piss people off, but to get people active in the clan they have joined, it only takes 1 min to visit the site and post weather you can, can't or are not sure if you can play in a war.
If you are not sure how to post or what to do then simply ask your Team Captain or a Clan Admin/Leader and they will run you through it. Team members are also encouraged to get onto TeamSpeak and into game one hour beforehand to practice and partricipate in pre-training sessions. This also helps team captains to determine how many players they have for the nights war.
TeamSpeak Server
Our Teamspeak server is there for all members of Pacific Gaming and its freinds. Whilst you are in our TeamSpeak server you should be polite to the members of Pacific Gaming and any visitors. Whilst we maintain the privilage of being able to speak as you wish in TeamSpeak you must not delibratly offend others. Any complaints regarding this issue will be dealt with harshly and swiftly. You must also use your correct name when using our TeamSpeak Server, connecting with other names will not be tollerated and repeat offenders will be removed from this clan. Also people should make use of TeamSpeak when ever possible as it makes it easier for fellow members to contact you when needed. Whilst you are using Teamspeak you should be in the channel which most applies to what you are doing, ie if you organise a scrim you should use the joint scrim channel for this and not sit in the lounge.
As you will notice some people have their own channels in the members channel section. These channels are created for the members of this clan who make regular contributions towards the cost of running Pacific Gaming. You are not allowed to use a members channel unless you are invited to do so by the owner of that channel. Channel owners receive Channel Admin to their channel and are permitted to do what ever they wish to their channel including adding a password to it. The only restriction to this is the naming of their channel as it must state the game name of the person who owns the channel you may add something but it must still contain your name. If you add something offensive to others your channel will be removed.
During Scrims & Wars
People should treat all scrims as if they were a G.A. or C.G.O. war, you should use the G.A. and C.G.O. rules section as general rules for all scrims but as stated before under no circumstance should any member of Pacific Gaming offend another team member or a member of the opposing team. Global talk should be kept to a minimum and should not be in any way be offensive to anyone. You should report any abuse to your team captain or to the clan leader. You should 'ready up' promptly and if reconnecting should not stay in spectator mode once connected, if you do it will only aggrevate the other team and get your clan a reputation of being cheaters.
Divisions & Teams
At this current time there are a number of teams within Pacific Gaming, once you have become a member then you will be assigned to a team. All comments relating to that team should be made in the team's forum. Any issues you have with the team should be brought to the attention of your team leader / captain.
If for example you can't post in your team's forum then most likely your permission level on the site has not been edited properly and simply asking the team captain to fix this issue will get it resolved for you immediately.
When playing in your team you should not gang up on any other team within Pacific Gaming, if a certain team has, then the team will be removed from Pacific Gaming. Just because you are in a different team to someone else doesn't make you different as you are still a member of Pacific Gaming and as such are bound by these rules just the same as any other person is.
Leaving Pacific Gaming
Okay, there has been alot of confusion over what happens so we are now including this in our rules section. If you leave this clan you will not be allowed to rejoin this clan for 12 months, if after the 12 months is up you decide to rejoin you will have to go back in through the recruitment process and you will start again at the bottom. If you leave a second time then you will not be allowed to rejoin for 2 years, a third time will result in a permanent ban from Pacific Gaming. However if you play with us for several games and only leave for one game, i.e Call Of Duty 2, this will not affect the other games that you play with us as in this case the rule applies only to the game in which you left us for. In addition to this if you leave us for cod 4 although you cannot rejoin us until your time period has lapsed you may still join or apply to join us for another game in which we play. Also any member of Pacific Gaming can only be a member of Pacific Gaming for the game in which they applied to play for us and may not be a member of any other clan for that Game, currently COD 1, COD 2, COD 4, COD5 and BFBC2. Any member found to be in another clan for that game(s) will find themselves removed from Pacific Gaming and will receive a 2 year suspension...You are however allowed to be in other clans for games in which you do not play for us.
The only exception to any of the above is if a person is removed due to being inactive, i.e a person applies to play with us for Call of Duty 4 they get accepted and play with no problems for 3 months but then they stop showing up so they are removed from the clan. In this case the admins will review the person return on a case by case basis, as there may be a genuine reason for the persons inactiveness, i.e moved and no internet etc.....
With regard to all of the above if you have a genuine reason for being away, where possible you should let the Clan Leaders know about it so we can make a note of players inactive and give pre approval for such leave, i.e If you are moving house and where you are going you cannot get internet please do not leave as you will then fall into the leaving clan policy, but simply let us know and we will just remove you from a team and make you an inactive member as you never know what may happen in the future, you may discover you can get internet in 8 months time and will be allowed to return as if nothing happened.
In one last note we would like to clarify that if when you apply to join us for say Call Of Duty 4 then wish to join our Call Of Duty 2 team this is a seperate application and you must submit to join us for that game as if you were joining for the very first time.
Hackers
Pacific Gaming Clan has a strong stance on hackers in our community. If you are found to be hacking, whether with our clan or another and in a game we play or not, you will be promptly removed from the clan. We do not and never will tolerate hackers within our community.
Glitchers
Glitching in a server, whether it be ours or not, is not tolerated. If you are found to be glitching in a server, you will recieve ONE warning. Further violations will result in a dismissal from the clan. It ruins the fun for everyone, so simply put, DO NOT GLITCH!
Multi-Claning
Here at Pacific Gaming clan we understand that you may also play in other clans for games we may or may not play. However if you are in a gaming division for Pacific Gaming you are not allowed to participate with another clan for the same game at any one time. If you feel the need to multi-clan with other clans in a game that you do not participate with us then you are free to do so. However, if your actions or participation with the other clan disrupts the progress of Pacific Gaming then we reserve the right to ask you to leave your other clan. Failure to remove yourself from the other clan will result in removal from Pacific Gaming. Please note that your actions (i.e. if you hack) in another clan may also result in an immediate removal from this clan and all its divisions.

Pacific Gaming Clan Miscellaneous Rules |
|
Whilst our clan maintains a somewhat competitive aspect our main aim is to have fun, we have people of all age groups in our clan and do not tolerate any kind of immaturity, try to think when ever your doing something before you do and ask yourself how this will affect your clan and if it could be in a negative way then don't do it.
If you have offended someone even by accident then you should promptly apologise for offending that person and explain your situation to them.
Remember as JFK once said 'Ask not what this clan can do for you, but ask what can you do for this clan'. We have been around since 2003 and even though we now have a new name, with a little discipline and maturity we can be round for many more years to come. One of the biggest things that ends a clan is the respect from other clans and internal bickering so if you are having problems with another player then see a captain immediately so the issue can be resolved, simply going to other people within the clan or sitting on the issue will not only make things worse but can also lead to a breakdown of the entire clan.
Pacific Gaming also strictly abides by the rules set out by GameArena and Cyber Gamers Ladder GameOp's, which can be found here for G.A. and here for Cyber Gamer.
It is at the discretion of all Pacific Gaming members and it's visitors to ensure they are kept up to date with this page, as it may change from time to time without public notice or announcement!
